科学家在加拿大一个采石场发现了一块距今1.4亿年前的松树化石,这是距今为止最古老的松树化石。这块烧焦的树枝在此前松针发芽的地方有一个小断层,分析表明这块木材的内部此前曾输送过树脂胶。这块化石直径仅有半厘米,研究人员在用酸溶解加拿大新斯科舍省石膏采石场的一块岩石样本时发现了它,相关成果近日发表于《地质学》。
