中国科学院上海有机化学研究所生物与化学交叉中心王文元团队与同济大学附属上海东方医院徐俊团队、复旦大学附属华山医院王坚团队合作，首次报道并命名了一个新的大脑特异性非编码核糖核酸（lncRNA）BS-DRL1，揭示了其参与调控神经细胞DNA损伤应答和基因组稳定性的机制。
中国科学院天津工业生物技术研究所研究员张学礼带领的微生物代谢工程研究团队等以天然玫瑰精油的发酵生产为案例，首先在酿酒酵母中筛选到代谢截流效果显著优于经典动态调控启动子ERG1的功能元件——麦角固醇生物合成途径中的ERG7启动子元件。

中国科学院成都生物研究所生物多样性与生态系统服务领域地表过程与生态系统管理项目组硕士研究生吴素娟在博士杨浩、研究员罗鹏的指导下，以成都市为案例区，利用遥感地表温度反演和多源数据空间分析的方法开展湿地降温效应及其影响因素的研究。研究发现，成都市夏季表面城市热岛强度达到3.1℃，高度城镇化和人口密集的一圈层地区是热岛效应最强烈的地区。

中国科学院成都生物研究所天然产物研究中心研究员邵华武课题组与南方科技大学教授蒋兴宇课题组合作通过对MOFs前驱参数的调控，制备出具有强荧光性能的空心MOF纳米管，并且可用于自我指示的药物递送。在一步合成过程中，通过监控反应的进行，科研人员发现该空心的六边形纳米管经历了自模板的生长以及随后的凹陷进化过程，揭示出空心结构的形成是动力学的而不是热力学的，该MOF的合成可以通过逐步溶出-再生长机理解释。
