暨南大学华文学院海外华语研究中心是由教育部语言信息管理司与暨南大学共建的研究平台。2005年6月9日教育部语信司与暨南大学在京签署共建协议书。2005年6月19日授牌。中心主任为郭熙教授。目前，“海外华语研究中心”主要对海外华语语言进行全面的监测与研究，反映海外华语的语言使用状况。包括全球华语语料库、全球华语词典、全球华语研究和全球华语教材，等等。
《知网—中文信息结构库》的研究与建设，是《知网》这一知识系统向中文研究延伸的具体体现。现在我们公布的中文信息结构库包含268种信息结构模式，附带着一万多实例，总字数六万余。就其规模而言它还只能算是一个雏形，但就其所包含的模式而言应该说已趋于成熟。中文信息结构库将是中文信息处理的重要的甚至是不可或缺的资源之一。它也被我们称为袖珍型经典语料库，这是因为它的素材来源于实际语料，而另一方面又是经过人工精心...
“国家现代汉语语料库”是由中华人民共和国国家语言文字应用委员会主持建立的一个现代汉语书面语通用平衡样本语料库，它于1993年开始建设。该语料库的第一批语料数据是1919年至1992年的语料，共7000万字，以后每年递增1000万字，是目前最大的现代汉语平衡语料库。
