清华大学中美关系研究中心是于2007年9月成立的一个年轻智库。中心以开拓具有中国特色的“美国学”为指导，着眼国家急需的重大理论和政策问题的创新研究，通过跨学科、跨机构、跨国界的学术交流和合作，力图有重点、有步骤地建立起具有清华特色与风格的学术项目和研究成果，成为在国内若干研究领域内具有领先优势，在国际上有较高知名度，在学术交流、政策建议和社会服务方面有所作为的创新型智库。
《美国研究》是中国社会科学院美国研究所和中华美国学会主办的学术性季刊。刊登中国学者研究美国社会各个方面的文章，包括美国政治、经济、外交、军事、科技、文化、历史、艺术、思潮等。它是中国从事研究美国问题的学者们的共同园地，是交流对美国的认识和理解的一个中心。

复旦大学美国研究中心成立于1985年。它是我国最早建立的专门从事美国研究的主要机构之一。已故复旦大学校长、该中心首任主任谢希德教授对该中心的成立和发展作出了重要的贡献。美国研究中心行政上从属于复旦大学国际问题研究院。 中心设有一行政办公室和图书馆。学术上，中心下设数个研究室，分别主攻国际安全、美国外交、美国国会、美国经济文化、国际关系理论等等。
美国研究所成立于民国六十三年，其前身主要是民国五十八年成立的美国研究室，及民国六十年欧洲研究所美国组。民国七十三年本所成立博士班，本所迄今已有卅一年历史。
